A Technical Shopfloor Engineer is required to support a major international aerospace organisation at its Broughton wing manufacturing facility. The organisation is a global leader in aerospace, defence and space systems, delivering advanced aircraft and structural solutions worldwide.
This opportunity sits within the production environment, working directly on the shopfloor alongside Autonomous Production Teams (APT), supporting manufacturing operations and ensuring production continuity.
Key Responsibilities- Provide hands-on engineering support to production teams and APT on the shopfloor
- Identify, analyse and resolve technical issues beyond operator and First Line Manager capability
- Support the identification and management of non-conformities within production
- Provide an end-to-end (E2E) engineering perspective within manufacturing operations
- Enable continuous production flow through effective use of resources and technical knowledge
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production targets
- Ensure adherence to product safety, quality and regulatory requirements
- NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent qualification)
- Experience within manufacturing or production engineering environments
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve technical issues
- Experience working within regulated industries (e.g. aerospace, automotive, defence)
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and production processes
- Strong communication, adaptability and proactive approach
- Project management experience or awareness is advantageous
