Are you a Senior Backend Developer who wants to own features end-to-end and build products used at scale? We're working with a fast-growing, product-led tech business looking for a Node.js / TypeScript expert to join a high-performing squad. You'll play a key role in shaping, building, and scaling core product features, from concept through to release and beyond.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll combine strong backend development with architecture input, best practice, and real ownership.
What you'll be doing:
- Design, build and ship high-quality backend features end-to-end
- Take ownership of services from concept to production to optimisation
- Develop scalable APIs using Node.js / TypeScript
- Work closely with Product, Design and Tech Leads on roadmap and delivery
- Improve deployment, testing and engineering standards across the team
- Mentor others and champion best practices and clean code
Tech stack:
- Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript
- AWS (ECS, CDK, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB)
- REST APIs, JSON services
- SQL (Postgres / T-SQL / Presto)
- Automated testing (Jest)
