We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join a growing team delivering innovative solutions for Defence and Homeland Security applications. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle, from concept development and requirements capture through to design, testing, and delivery.
Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to the development of advanced technologies, prototypes, and proof-of-concept solutions, tackling complex real-world engineering challenges across a diverse range of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and test electronic hardware solutions, including schematic capture and PCB design.
- Support the full product development lifecycle, from requirements definition through to integration and delivery.
- Perform board bring-up, debugging, validation, and technical documentation activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on system architecture, interfaces, and hardware integration.
- Develop and evaluate innovative prototype and proof-of-concept solutions for complex engineering challenges.
- Experience in electronics hardware design, schematic capture, and PCB layout design.
- Knowledge of low-level communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, Ethernet, or Modbus.
- Experience with board bring-up, testing, debugging, and verification activities.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: FPGA development, DSP, embedded software, RF/microwave design, or high-speed electronics.
- Experience using engineering tools and languages such as Altium, C/C++, MATLAB, Python, Simulink, or C#.
Additional Information: Candidates must be eligible for UK Security Clearance. This role is not eligible for UKVI visa sponsorship. Based at a purpose-built engineering campus just south of Cambridge.
