Onsite - North West UK
We are supporting a large, complex engineering-led organisation with the appointment of a Building & Construction Project Leader to support a growing workload across an operational site environment. This role will suit someone who has operated on the client side, leading construction partners and professional services through the full project lifecycle.
The Role
- Lead building and construction projects from feasibility through to handover
- Set up and manage multi-functional project teams (internal & external)
- Oversee design development, specifications, and site delivery
- Manage professional service work packages and construction activities on site
- Ensure full compliance with H&S, technical standards, and internal governance
- Own project plans, risk management, reporting, and stakeholder communication
Essential Experience
- Strong building & construction project management background
- Proven experience acting as the client representative (not contractor-side only)
- Experience managing construction companies, consultants, and suppliers
- Exposure to refurbishment, plant replacement, or live-site projects
- Confident stakeholder management and decision-making capability
