A leading nuclear and safety-critical engineering consultancy is looking to hire a Technical Lead Engineer to support the delivery of complex, highly regulated projects. You will provide technical leadership across multi-disciplinary interfaces, lead investigations, and ensure engineering outputs meet applicable codes and standards (including RCC-M).
The role will involve:
- Reviewing/approving welding specifications
- Supporting on-site engineering activity
- Maintaining robust technical documentation
- Contributing to safety cases and nuclear safety categorisations
- Working closely with stakeholders to resolve technical issues
- Driving high standards in safety, quality and compliance
Required Skills:
- IWE/EWE status
- Understanding of industry-relevant specifications for welding (e.g., RCC-M)
- Practical experience applying these specifications on complex, multi-interface projects
- MSc in Welding Engineering
- Previous experience in the nuclear industry
- Experience in engineering design and welding specification
- EPR building, plant and system knowledge
- Safety case knowledge and experience of nuclear safety categorisation
