The predicted salary is between 60000 - 75000 Β£ per year.

Locations: Multiple locations (hybrid ~ 3 days a week on-site)

Salary: Highly competitive & seniority dependant.

Clearance: SC cleared or eligible for clearance.

A fast-growing European defence & security technology business, who develop autonomous systems and unmanned platforms, is hiring a Systems Safety Specialist to support safety-critical programmes from early concept through to certification.

Role responsibility

  • Own & maintain hazard logs, safety requirements and safety assurance evidence
  • Lead Functional Hazard Assessment & Functional Hazard Analysis activity and workshops
  • Produce and contribute to safety cases and certification artefacts
  • Deliver FMEA/FMECA, failure mode, criticality and maintainability inputs

What we're looking for

  • Proven systems safety background in aerospace, defence, UAS/UAV, automotive or other safety-critical domains
  • Working knowledge of standards such as ARP4754A / ARP4761 & DEF STAN 00-056 (Nice-to-have)
  • ISO 26262 / IEC 61508
  • Strong stakeholder skills, proven ability to influence engineering teams and programme leadership

We have 2 positions available (Senior – Senior Principal), for a Senior Principal position you MUST have proven experience working from concept within a demonstrator role.
