About the Role
We are seeking a Cloud Security Specialist with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join a high-performing Digital & Data team. In this role, you will design and deliver secure, scalable cloud architectures that meet complex business, technical, and security requirements. You will work across multidisciplinary teams to define end-to-end security solutions, shape architectural direction, and implement best-in-class cloud security controls. This is a client-facing consulting role where you will combine cloud security expertise, architecture skills, and strategic thinking to help deliver secure-by-design solutions in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end Google Cloud security architectures (conceptual, logical, and implementation designs)
- Define and deliver secure GCP solutions aligned to business, technical, and risk requirements
- Lead design and implementation of cloud identity and access management (IAM) strategies
- Architect network security controls including segmentation, perimeter security, and infrastructure protection
- Apply cloud-native security principles including monitoring, logging, detection, and response capabilities
- Assess existing security architectures and recommend enhancements or remediation strategies
- Translate complex technical and business challenges into secure, scalable solutions
- Contribute to long-term security strategy across large-scale transformation programmes
- Apply Google Cloud best practices and industry frameworks to solve complex security problems
- Clearly communicate architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong background in information security and cloud security architecture
- Proven experience delivering security solutions in large-scale cloud or infrastructure environments
- Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform security services and architecture patterns
- Strong understanding of IAM, network security, encryption, logging, and monitoring in cloud environments
- Experience in consulting or client-facing roles with multiple stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in agile, fast-paced delivery environments
Desirable Certifications
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer
- Google Cloud Professional Security Operations Engineer
- CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security certifications
- TOGAF, SABSA, or other enterprise architecture frameworks
