A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Business & Testing Analyst to join a highly respected UK Top 100 professional services client. This role sits within a mature, collaborative Application Development function and plays a pivotal part in ensuring high‑quality delivery across business analysis, functional testing, and UAT readiness.

You’ll work closely with the Lead Business Analyst, Application Development Manager, developers, business stakeholders, and QA resources to ensure requirements are clearly defined, testable, and delivered to production with confidence.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Test Design — Create test cases aligned to acceptance criteria, covering functional, edge‑case and data‑driven scenarios.
  • Quality Assurance — Execute functional testing, support regression cycles, manage defects end‑to‑end, and validate Definition of Done.
  • Business Analysis — Gather and document requirements, write clear user stories, define acceptance criteria (including Given/When/Then), and support backlog refinement.
  • UAT Readiness — Prepare UAT environments, validate test data, confirm integrations, and act as a quality gate before business testing.
  • Change & Release Governance — Ensure traceability from requirement to release, validate deployment readiness, and support post‑release smoke testing.
  • Continuous Improvement — Champion shift‑left quality, improve testing practices, and enhance delivery processes.
  • Collaboration — Work closely with stakeholders, developers, training teams, offshore testers, and the Product Owner to ensure clarity and alignment.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong business analysis capability (requirements, documentation, process mapping).
  • Hands‑on QA experience including test design, execution, regression testing and defect management.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps boards, backlogs and test plans.
  • Solid understanding of delivery lifecycles across Dev, UAT and Live environments.
  • Ability to assess product readiness and operate effective quality gates.
  • Excellent communication skills across business and technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Experience working in Agile or sprint‑based delivery environments.
