As a NICHE System Administrator specializing in policing, you will maintain and optimize secure IT environments that handle classified law enforcement data. This role requires expertise in high-security infrastructure, ensuring compliance with criminal justice regulations, cyber security frameworks, and operational resilience standards.

You will play a crucial role in managing the NICHE database, maintaining, configuring, and optimizing secure police IT systems and networks. Oversee criminal intelligence databases, evidence management platforms, and officer communication tools. Ensure compliance with Home Office guidelines, CJIS security policies, and GDPR regulations. Implement access controls and encryption measures to protect sensitive law enforcement data. Monitor real-time system performance, proactively identifying security threats or vulnerabilities.

Work closely with cybercrime units, forensic IT specialists, and emergency response teams. Manage secure cloud environments and disaster recovery protocols for policing IT systems. Assist with digital forensics investigations, supporting officers with evidence extraction and retention.
