We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect with a strong technical pedigree to join a global leader in providing technology solutions that drive innovation and solve complex challenges across various industries, with a particular focus on defence. You will be working with internal and external delivery teams, engineering leads, and customer stakeholders to ensure end-to-end solution coherence and delivery feasibility. This is an opportunity to shape and influence the direction of a large-scale, high-profile programme.
You will be central to decisions around platform strategy, cloud adoption, data integration, and multi-supplier delivery models, ensuring alignment across the full SDLC - from initial HLDs to support transition and ongoing optimisation.
In this role, you will be leading the full-spectrum architecture across:
- Business architecture (process modelling, capability mapping)
- Data architecture (data flows, integration schemas, MI/analytics)
- Application architecture (COTS/bespoke solutions, ERP, WMS, TMS)
- Integration (SOA, ESB, REST, XML, MQ)
- Infrastructure & Cloud (AWS, hybrid models, containerization, networking)
- Security architecture (compliance, assurance, identity models)
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong architecture delivery experience across complex multi-domain solutions in the defence sector
- Hands-on with AWS (IaaS/PaaS), cloud-native design, scalability patterns
- Solid integration knowledge: REST, SOAP, ESBs, APIs, message queues (MQ)
- Working knowledge of ERP, Inventory, WMS, or TMS platforms
- Experience with both bespoke software and COTS system integration
- Familiarity with modelling frameworks (TOGAF/MODAF/ArchiMate preferred)
- Excellent communicator - able to engage and challenge stakeholders across business, engineering, and supplier teams
