Title: Network Engineer

Salary: Up to £50,000 D.O.E

A skilled Network Engineer who will bring ideas and enthusiasm to their close- knit infrastructure team. In this role you will play a pivotal role in optimising their IT network for peak performance, security, and reliability.

Essential Skills:

  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in configuring and maintaining firewalls, routers, load balancers, and switches.
  • Networking Expertise: Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, VLANs, load balancing, and VPNs.
  • Operating Systems: Proficient in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Troubleshooting: Advanced analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve network performance issues and operational challenges.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work outside core hours as needed to support business requirements.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with helpdesk teams and educate on network-related issues.

Desirable Skills:

  • Cloud Services: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure & AWS.
  • Hardware Knowledge: Experience with Cisco switches, FortiNet firewalls, Dell servers (iDrac), and Veeam/Zerto data resiliency platforms.
  • Security Tools: Knowledge of Rapid7 and ability to plan and test Pentest remediations.
  • Certification Management: Ability to update Self Signed/Domain certificates across network services/devices.
