We are working with a growing company looking for a DevOps Engineer with solid experience running Kubernetes on bare-metal servers. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in shaping upcoming projects. You will be joining a friendly, down-to-earth team that values collaboration. They are looking for someone happy to work onsite in Manchester, five days a week.

What You Will Do:

  • Set up, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters on physical (non-cloud) infrastructure
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure systems are fast, stable, and scalable
  • Oversee monitoring, upgrades, networking, and security in an on-prem environment
  • Help maintain high availability and overall platform reliability

What We Are Looking For:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes on bare-metal (not cloud-based)
  • Familiar with setup tools like kubeadm, Rancher, or similar
  • Good understanding of physical server environments and non-cloud challenges
  • Able to clearly explain the differences between cloud and on-prem Kubernetes
  • Strong problem-solving skills in a DevOps or SRE context

Location: Manchester - 5 days onsite

Salary: Up to £85,000 dependent on experience.
