Lead Principal Consultant – Government, Defence & Security
We are recruiting for multiple Azure Solution Architects at varying levels of seniority on behalf of our client, a data solutions provider delivering advanced analytics and insights for government and defence.
You\’ll help design, build and optimise secure Azure cloud environments for critical national platforms. Whether you\’re a hands-on engineer or a senior technical lead, there\’s scope to shape architecture, mentor others, and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy Azure Landing Zones using IaC (Terraform / Bicep)
- Maintain scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure
- Support MDM and endpoint security platforms
- Collaborate with defence partners & internal teams
- Document standards, processes, and architectural artefacts
Senior-level additions:
- Lead technical strategy and architecture design reviews
- Mentor junior engineers and architects
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
- Engage with stakeholders and guide architectural governance
What You\’ll Need
- Solid IaC and DevOps toolchain skills (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD)
- Networking, MDM, and endpoint policy expertise
- Proficiency in Go (or Python with a willingness to learn Go)
- Defence, intelligence or government sector exposure
Desirable Certifications
- AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-500, AZ-700
- CCNA or equivalent
