The Opportunity

Our client, a global PLC specializing in high-tech equipment manufacturing, is undergoing significant transformation and is heavily investing in building a robust divisional strategy function. This team collaborates closely with stakeholders at both the divisional and portfolio levels to address critical areas such as strategy, transformation, and M&A. The team provides expertise in:

  • Strategy development
  • Value creation (including cost transformation and performance improvement)
  • Post-deal value creation activities (e.g., integration, separation, and 100-day planning)

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to define, develop, and refine corporate and business unit strategies.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies, translating insights into actionable strategies.

Transformation Initiatives

  • Oversee end-to-end cross-functional transformation projects, driving operational excellence, fostering organizational agility, and enabling digital innovation.
  • Identify, design, and implement initiatives to drive efficiency, growth, and sustainability across the organization.

Value Creation

  • Evaluate and prioritize growth opportunities, including M&A, partnerships, and organic initiatives.
  • Conduct financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business case development to support strategic decision-making.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Present findings and recommendations to the executive leadership team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the global organization to ensure alignment and successful execution of strategic initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and implement frameworks, tools, and processes to enhance strategic planning and decision-making capabilities within the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • An MBA or equivalent advanced degree from a top-tier institution is preferred.

Professional Experience

  • At least 2–5 years of experience, with significant tenure at a leading strategy consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or equivalent experience in a corporate strategy role.
  • Proven experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects and delivering measurable outcomes.

Skills and Competencies
