We are seeking an experienced and visionary interim Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO) to lead the next phase of our clients evolution — moving from transformation to scale-up. This is a pivotal executive role for a commercially minded product and technology leader who thrives in high-velocity, complex environments. You will embed a product-led, partner-first culture, drive execution at pace, and deliver scalable, high-impact software that unlocks growth and long-term commercial value. With foundational changes already made across Product and Engineering, the focus now is on execution, scale, and performance — building repeatable delivery, balancing legacy and SaaS portfolios, and accelerating value creation for customers and partners.
The Role
As CPTO, you will own the end-to-end product and technology agenda, from vision through delivery to commercialisation. You will be a core member of the senior leadership team, shaping strategy while staying close enough to the detail to ensure outcomes are delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Embed a product management mindset across teams — prioritising customer and business outcomes over project outputs.
- Raise delivery standards, ensuring high-quality, partner-ready software is shipped at speed.
- Balance innovation with technical debt, managing legacy platforms alongside SaaS-first development.
- Set and maintain a bold, customer-validated product vision grounded in commercial opportunity.
- Define and prioritise roadmap themes aligned to real market needs.
- Build with a platform mindset, optimising for performance, scalability, and embedded value.
- Build product and engineering capabilities to support partner-led delivery at scale, including toolkits, diagnostics, sandbox environments, and training assets.
- Enable Customer Success and Partner teams to improve retention, adoption, and cross-sell.
- Continue developing a unified Product and Engineering culture with shared goals and strong accountability.
- Structure teams for repeatable delivery, global coordination, and continuous improvement.
- Create transparency through delivery metrics and dashboards, embedding agility at every level.
- Define pricing, packaging, and monetisation strategies aligned to value creation and SaaS margin goals.
- Partner with GTM, Marketing, and Finance to drive adoption, renewals, and commercial leverage.
- Ensure full lifecycle ownership across all products — from inception through to deprecation.
About You
You are a strategic yet hands-on leader with the credibility to operate at executive level and the pragmatism to drive delivery. Proven track record scaling SaaS products in fast-moving, complex B2B environments. Deep experience leading Product and Engineering functions through transformation into high-performance, repeatable operations. Strong commercial acumen, with a clear understanding of pricing, ARR, margin models, and GTM alignment. Strong architectural and technical literacy, able to engage deeply on technical trade-offs. Proven experience leading products to market in a SaaS environment.
Leadership Attributes
- Scale-up mindset — focused on leverage, automation, speed, and systemic improvement.
- Commercial operator — driven by value creation, revenue, and product-market fit.
- Execution-focused — delivers outcomes with pace, structure, and discipline.
- Innovative and pragmatic — balances ambition with delivery reality.
- Customer-first leader — prioritises real-world needs over internal noise.
- Inspiring communicator — brings clarity, energy, and accountability.
- Resilient and adaptive — thrives in ambiguity, complexity, and change.
- Comfortable operating strategically and in the detail, staying close to the product when required.
