We are looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Advisor to join our growing team. Acting as the first point of contact for all HR-related matters, you will play a key role in supporting managers and employees across the business while driving a positive and compliant workplace culture. This is a varied generalist role covering employee relations, recruitment, training, and HR operations, with responsibility for delivering high-quality HR support across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Employee Relations & HR Support
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
- Support investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and performance management
- Manage absence cases, including long-term sickness and return-to-work processes
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant working environment
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for hourly roles
- Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support hiring decisions
- Issue contracts and onboarding documentation
- Ensure compliance with right-to-work requirements and onboarding processes
- Training & Development
- Deliver induction and onboarding programmes
- Support ongoing employee training and development initiatives
- Track new starter progress at 30, 60, and 90 days
- Maintain training records and skills matrices
- HR Projects & Systems
- Support HR systems (UKG) and ensure data accuracy
- Analyse HR data and trends (e.g., absence, turnover, ER cases)
- Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and wellbeing programmes
- Support ESG and community engagement activities
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a generalist HR role (minimum 2 years)
- Knowledgeable in UK employment law and HR best practice
- Confident handling employee relations cases
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- A confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) is desirable
- Experience in FMCG/manufacturing is advantageous
