A client of ours is looking for an experienced System Administrator to support their internal users and infrastructure on a contract basis. The successful System Administrator will be responsible for maintaining, supporting and improving a busy IT environment, working across BAU support and project-based work.
They are seeking someone who is confident, proactive and able to hit the ground running, with strong communication skills and a solid technical background. The System Administrator will be exposed to a wide range of technologies and will play a key role in ensuring systems remain secure, stable and scalable.
Essential skills - System Administrator:- Windows Server administration (2016, 2019, 2022)
- Active Directory & Entra ID - user administration, group policies
- Office 365 / Microsoft 365 - mailbox management, email flow, security groups
- Azure - administration and support
- Intune - device management (Windows & iOS)
- Networking fundamentals - TCP/IP, VLANs, access ports
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
- PowerShell scripting
- Microsoft certifications
- Backup & disaster recovery solutions
- Security tools / email security (e.g. Barracuda)
- Project experience (migrations, upgrades, rollouts)
