A Secure Government organisation is seeking a Portfolio Support Officer to provide the operational backbone of the PMF. You will own cadence, governance support, action tracking, document control and operational data flow across a complex multi-supplier portfolio, working closely with PMO and reporting teams.
Required experience:
- 5+ years' PMO / portfolio support experience
- Strong experience in multi-supplier environments (public sector preferred)
- Excellent meeting, action and document management skills
- Confident working with senior stakeholders
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills (Excel, SharePoint, MS Project, Power BI consumption)
- Active SC clearance + UK national (or dual national, one British)
Responsibilities:
- Manage full meeting cadence (governance, quarterly cycles, stand-ups)
- Prepare agendas, papers, minutes and decision logs
- Track actions to closure and escalate overdue items
- Maintain document control and versioned PMF library
- Collect and chase operational inputs from suppliers
- Perform first-line data quality checks (format, completeness, consistency)
- Support data flow into reporting environment with Insights Lead
- Maintain supplier contact and onboarding information
- Support SOW tracking, changes and approvals
- Maintain SOW register and status reporting
- Provide general PMF logistics, onboarding and admin support
- Support RAID register maintenance
Certifications:
- Essential: PRINCE2 Foundation or APMG PM Foundation or ITIL Foundation
- Preferred: P3O Foundation, PRINCE2 Practitioner, ITIL Practitioner
