NOC Service Design Specialist - SC Cleared£DOE | 6 Month Contract | Hybrid - Milton Keynes (3 days onsite) | Inside IR35

We're looking for an experienced NOC Service Design Specialist to support a critical government client, helping design and transition services into a 24x7 Network Operations Centre (NOC).

You'll be responsible for defining the service operating model, ensuring new and changed services are designed, documented and transitioned into live operation in line with ITIL and ITSM best practice.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain service management processes, policies and procedures aligned to ITIL
  • Develop Service Design Packages (SDPs) and support service transition into live operations
  • Define 2nd/3rd line support requirements and 4th line on-call responsibilities
  • Work with programme and technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective service designs
  • Identify gaps in monitoring, tooling and operational capability and recommend improvements
  • Support the integration of network incident and warning processes across the wider NOC
  • Provide day-to-day task management for first-line NOC resources

We're looking for:

  • Strong experience across ITSM, Service Design and Service Transition
  • Strong understanding of ITIL Service Design principles
  • ITIL Foundation certification is essential
  • Experience designing services for 24x7 / NOC environments would be highly beneficial
  • Excellent documentation, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
  • Current SC Clearance is essential
  • DV clearance highly desirable / eligible for DV

ITIL Intermediate/Practitioner in Service Design and a relevant degree would be advantageous.
