A globally recognised organisation is seeking an experienced MES Application Support Engineer to join a technology team supporting critical manufacturing and production systems. This role offers the opportunity to work across Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), industrial automation technologies, SCADA platforms and shop floor applications, helping to ensure operational continuity across a complex manufacturing environment.
You will provide technical support, troubleshoot production-critical issues, collaborate with suppliers and business stakeholders, and contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing technology platforms.
Responsibilities for the MES Application Support Engineer:
- Provide technical support for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and related production applications
- Support industrial automation environments including SCADA systems, HMIs and robotics platforms
- Investigate and resolve complex technical incidents, performing root cause analysis and identifying long term solutions
- Work closely with suppliers, OEMs and internal stakeholders to coordinate issue resolution
- Produce and maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles
- Monitor service performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Support incident, problem and change management activities using ServiceNow
- Contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives
