An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a growing IT team supporting a modern Microsoft environment.

You'll provide 2nd line technical support across desktop, infrastructure and Microsoft 365 technologies, working closely with 1st and 3rd line teams to resolve escalated issues while contributing to a range of IT improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd line support for users across hardware, software and Microsoft technologies.
  • Troubleshoot issues across Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions and Group Policy within Active Directory and Entra ID.
  • Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams and Share Point.
  • Manage devices using Intune and assist with endpoint deployments.
  • Troubleshoot networking issues including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and VPN connectivity.
  • Build, image and deploy laptops and desktops.
  • Escalate complex issues where required while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Assist with IT projects including Microsoft 365, cloud and infrastructure improvements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the IT service management system.

Essential Skills - 2nd Line Support Engineer

  • Previous experience in a

2nd Line Support Engineer or similar IT support role.

  • Windows 10 & Windows 11 administration and troubleshooting.
  • Active Directory, Group Policy and Entra ID administration.
  • Microsoft 365 including Exchange Online, Teams and Share Point.
  • Intune or other endpoint management platforms.
  • Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and VPNs).
  • Hardware troubleshooting, builds and device lifecycle management.
  • Experience using an ITSM/ticketing system.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable - 2nd Line Support Engineer

  • Azure administration experience.
  • Power Shell scripting.
