An organisation with ambitious growth plans is seeking to appoint an IT Service Manager to take full ownership of its IT function. The IT Service Manager position offers a unique opportunity to lead the planning and execution of a diverse range of IT projects while adopting a continuous improvement approach to recommend and implement new systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with an external managed service provider and other third-party vendors
- Ensure the managed service provider delivers in accordance with agreed SLAs
- Promote the adoption of technology and process improvements across the business
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects, including but not limited to: SharePoint enhancements, Copilot deployment, networking implementation, CCTV, AI utilisation to enhance business operations and the rollout of new initiatives
- In collaboration with the managed service provider, manage and maintain the IT estate
- Oversee SaaS platforms
- Provide mentorship and training
- Manage the Office 365 admin portal and ensure effective execution of the joiners, movers and leavers (JML) process
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation
- Conduct internal audits
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong technical background with well-rounded IT knowledge and experience across Office 365, Active Directory, Intune and Networking
- Proven project management capabilities
- Demonstrable experience liaising with a managed service provider and other third-party vendors
- Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and change implementation
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and methodical troubleshooting approach
- Willingness to be technically hands-on when required and learn new skills
Desirable Skills:
- Relevant certifications - Microsoft, Cisco or similar
- Exposure to AI implementation
- Familiarity with Salesforce and CCTV systems
- Experience in health and social care or housing sectors
