A client of ours is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to support and develop their core IT infrastructure across both BAU operations and project delivery. The successful Infrastructure Engineer will join a collaborative technology function, working across business-critical systems within a complex infrastructure environment.
They are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer who is technically strong, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of complex infrastructure environments. You will work across a diverse estate, supporting critical systems and contributing to infrastructure improvements, upgrades and future-state architecture. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential.
Essential skills - Infrastructure Engineer:
- Windows Server administration
- Active Directory Domain Services - administration and support of Domain Controllers
- Microsoft Azure - core infrastructure services and administration
- Office 365 / Microsoft 365 - tenant administration and security
- Virtualisation - VMware and/or Hyper-V
- Networking - configuration and support of network infrastructure
- Backup, disaster recovery and patch management
Desirable skills - Infrastructure Engineer:
- Intune - device and endpoint management
- PowerShell scripting and automation
- Storage technologies (SAN/NAS)
- Azure Certifications
- Experience supporting infrastructure projects and migrations
