A large, complex Public Sector organisation is seeking an experienced Director of Workplace Technology & Transformation, to provide senior leadership across the design, delivery and adoption of a modern, enterprise-scale Digital Workplace strategy. The successful candidate will act as a senior change leader, influencing decision‑making at executive level to ensure Digital initiatives contribute directly to strategic organisational outcomes.
This is an initial 6‑month contract, Inside IR35, with hybrid working available.
- Proven strategic leadership experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale Digital Workplace ecosystems, delivering modern, secure, user-centred services through effective operating models.
- Strong understanding of digital technologies and enterprise collaboration platforms, with a track record of driving measurable productivity and efficiency improvements.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering cultural and behavioural change programmes to drive adoption and maximise value from Digital investments.
- Experience of budget management in excess of £3m, alongside proven procurement and commercial skills including supplier governance and contract framework management.
- Proven change delivery experience, transforming the digital workplace experience and driving tangible business value across multi-site, complex organisations.
- Set the long-term vision and multi-year strategy for the Digital Workplace, ensuring alignment with organisational mission and wider IT strategic direction.
- Act as a senior advisor to organisational leadership on modern workplace trends, future collaboration models, and digital employee experience strategy.
- Lead enterprise-level adoption and behaviour change to embed Digital Workplace capabilities across the operating environment.
- Provide inspirational leadership to a high-performing, outcomes-focused team that role models modern ways of working.
- Lead commercial strategy, contract frameworks, and supplier governance across all Digital Workplace services, working with strategic delivery partners to drive value and performance.
- Proactively identify and mitigate technology-related risks, defining and iterating standard operating procedures, policies, and processes supporting the wider IT function.
- Ensure alignment with security and architecture teams on the implementation of security controls and architectural principles.
- Assess emerging technologies and strategically position the organisation to benefit from digital innovation, demonstrating a proactive commitment to continual improvement.
- Experience of operating within a federated IT delivery model across multiple locations in a public or private sector setting.
