We are looking for 2 Associate Delivery Managers to join a central policy and programmes team, supporting major government programmes and projects. These are traditional project and programme delivery roles, focused on reporting, governance, risk management, project administration and delivery tracking rather than technical/product delivery or Scrum Master activity. One role will focus on supporting milestone plans, risk logs, JIRA and programme governance. The second will have a broader programme focus, supporting delivery trackers, action logs, reporting, governance and risk across the directorate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain JIRA, delivery trackers, milestone plans, action logs and risk registers
  • Support programme reporting, governance and risk management
  • Provide project administration and coordination across multiple workstreams
  • Track actions, milestones and deliverables through to completion
  • Support governance meetings and wider programme activity

About You

We are looking for proactive, organised delivery professionals with experience supporting large-scale projects or programmes. You should have:

  • Strong project/programme administration or delivery experience
  • Experience in delivery management, project support, project delivery or risk management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience maintaining JIRA or similar tools
  • A proactive, self-starting approach and ability to work with ambiguity
  • Some public sector/government experience and understanding of Civil Service ways of working

Agile or PRINCE2 qualifications would be beneficial, but relevant experience is more important than formal qualifications. Please note: Predominantly Scrum Master, Agile coaching or technical/product delivery backgrounds are unlikely to be suitable. The focus is on traditional project and programme delivery.
