A leading Mechanical & Electrical Contractor based in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join its successful and busy operational team. Delivering across a diverse portfolio of projects including Education, Healthcare, MOD, and Commercial sectors, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well established contractor with a strong reputation of working and achieving to a high standard.

The successful individual will play a key role in the delivery of mechanical building services projects from initial conception through to final handover. Working closely with the Main Contractor, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, you will oversee the installation and coordination of all mechanical services, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing mechanical installations throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Coordinating with Main Contractors and site teams on programme delivery
  • Overseeing subcontractors and ensuring quality of workmanship
  • Monitoring project progress, procurement, and technical compliance
  • Attending client and site meetings
  • Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Supporting commissioning, snagging, and final handover processes
Required for this role …
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer within the Building Services/M&E sector
  • Experience delivering new build projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building services installations
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Relevant mechanical or building services qualifications preferred
