Overview We're a working with a leading disaster recovery firm working within the UK insurance industry, and they're looking to strengthen our team with an experienced Senior Restoration Technician. When fire, flood or other damage hits a home or business, their teams are the ones who step in to put things right. You'll take ownership of restoration projects from the first visit through to final sign-off, working with policyholders, loss adjusters and their wider team to get properties and people back to normal as quickly and safely as possible. They are a Surrey based company, this role would entail roaming throughout the south east region. The Opportunity This is a hands-on role for a skilled technician who thrives on variety, responds well to urgent call-outs and takes pride in doing the job properly. You'll also have the chance to support and develop junior technicians as part of a team that values progression. Your role will include: * Attending first visits to domestic and commercial properties following fire or flood damage, carrying out mitigation works and producing detailed reports for insurers. * Communicating professionally with policyholders, loss adjusters, network builders and team members. * Cleaning and decontaminating properties affected by fire and smoke damage. * Carrying out strip-out works to allow structural drying. * Installing and managing drying equipment and techniques from first visit to final sign-off. * Working as part of our removals and storage team to pack, remove, clean and store contents and furniture, on-site or off-site. * Compiling detailed BER (beyond economic repair) lists for contents claims using an industry-approved app on phone or tablet. * Completing job reports and paperwork to SLA deadlines, including floor plans and moisture records. * Ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and correct use of PPE. * Supporting and developing junior technicians on-site and off-site. * Attending regular training courses as required. * Maintaining your company vehicle and equipment.
