Involve Recruitment are working in partnership with one of the UK’s leading multi-disciplinary contractors, renowned for delivering high-quality infrastructure services across the water, power, rail, and renewable energy sectors. With a decades-long track record of successful project delivery and long-term framework agreements, our client is recognised for their collaborative approach and strong relationships with both private and public sector clients. Following the award of a major utility infrastructure framework in the South Wales region, they are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join their growing team. As Senior Planner, you will play a vital role in both pre-construction and live project delivery, producing and refining construction schedules across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure works. You will work closely with both the tendering and site teams to support project success from initial planning through to final handover. Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project * Support tender planning activities, working closely with the pre-construction team * Collaborate with site delivery teams to produce and update construction programmes * Monitor progress, identify critical paths, and support resource planning * Implement and track earned value management metrics to measure performance * Engage in change management processes in line with NEC contract requirements * Provide regular planning updates and reports for internal and external stakeholders Requirements * Minimum 5 years\’ experience in a Planner or Senior Planner role within the water, energy, or civil engineering sectors * Strong proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project * Experience with NEC contracts, change control procedures, and earned value analysis * Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
