Prepress Assistant

A manufacturing company based in South Wales is seeking a highly motivated Prepress Assistant to join its busy Prepress Department. This is a key support role within the team, responsible for ensuring high-quality lithographic material preparation and providing print-ready components to the Production Team. You will oversee the storage and production of print plates, manage pre-production requirements, and assist with the development of new print projects. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. MAIN DUTIES (NOT AN EXHAUSTIVE LIST) * Inputting formulas onto technical sheet for production. * Ordering print plate material & all necessary materials when required for department. * Housekeeping of Plate making machines and equipment. * Making any replacement plates when damaged or marked during production. * Checking weekly forward schedule & daily schedule for new products. * Log storage of proofing samples & artwork until approved by customer. * Attend a meeting prior to pre-launch meeting to discuss approved samples, negatives/plates used before proceeding with origination. * Prepare product box for pre-launch meeting with all relevant information (samples, technical sheet). * Assisting Pre-Press Manager in new projects carried out within dept.
