An established environmental contractor has secured a major project as part of the redevelopment of the Port Talbot Steelworks and is seeking an accomplished Site Manager to lead the successful delivery of a complex programme of environmental and civil engineering works.
The project comprises habitat relocation, major earthworks, and associated environmental works across three separate sites.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple work packages, ensuring safe and efficient delivery while maintaining the highest environmental and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of environmental and civil engineering works across multiple sites.
- Develop and manage project programmes and site logistics.
- Prepare and implement Environmental Management Plans.
- Ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations, health & safety legislation, and environmental requirements.
- Coordinate and manage a specialist workforce including Site Supervisors, Ecologists, and Civil Engineering subcontractors.
- Monitor progress, quality, budgets, and programme performance.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and the wider project team.
- Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering complex civil engineering and/or environmental projects.
- Experience managing multiple sites and coordinating specialist subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations, environmental compliance, and health & safety legislation.
- Valid SMSTS certification.
- Valid First Aid at Work qualification.
- Previous experience delivering environmental projects is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
