Operations Manager in Oldbury

I am recruiting on behalf of a growing UK-based manufacturer supplying ambitious brands in highly regulated markets. This business is known for strong quality systems, well-engineered products and operational discipline, and is now seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of site operations. The Role Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will have full responsibility for end-to-end operations, including production, quality assurance, procurement, stock control and logistics. This is a hands-on leadership role with genuine authority, suited to someone who thrives on structure, accountability and continuous improvement. You will ensure all operations are compliant with HACCP, GMP and BRC standards, while driving efficiency, scalability and on-time delivery. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage daily operations across production, QA and logistics * Own the full operational lifecycle from order intake through to dispatch * Oversee production planning, capacity utilisation and scheduling * Manage procurement of raw materials and packaging, ensuring supplier compliance * Ensure full compliance with HACCP, GMP, BRC and internal quality standards * Prepare for and manage internal and external audits * Drive continuous improvement, SOP development and process standardisation * Lead, develop and manage operational teams, ensuring training and competency Candidate Profile Essential: * Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar senior role within food, supplements, pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing * Strong practical working knowledge of HACCP, GMP and BRC * End-to-end operational experience covering production, QA, procurement and logistics * Confident, decisive leadership style with the ability to take ownership * Process-driven, detail-focused and improvement-oriented Desirable: * Experience within medical supplements, nutraceuticals or contract manufacturing * Experience supporting business growth and scaling operations * Strong supplier management experience * Exposure to ERP, MRP or production planning systems What’s on Offer * Senior role with real ownership and decision-making authority * Direct reporting line to the Managing Director * Opportunity to build and shape a disciplined, compliant operation * Competitive salary dependent on experience If you are an experienced Operations Manager with a background in regulated manufacturing and a passion for building efficient, compliant operations, I would be keen to speak with you
