We are working with a specialist contractor delivering façade remediation and fire safety projects across the UK. Due to the commencement of a major scheme in Cornwall, they are now seeking an experienced Site Manager to support the successful delivery of external wall remediation works on a high-profile residential development in Newquay. The project relates to the full external wall remediation of Surf Pods, Newquay, following the findings of a Fire Risk Appraisal of External Walls (FRAEW). Works will involve the removal and replacement of existing cladding systems, balconies, insulation, fire barriers, cavity barriers, and associated façade elements, alongside reinstatement works and M&E services. The development will remain fully occupied throughout the duration of the project, requiring strong coordination skills, excellent health & safety management, and the ability to manage works sensitively within a live residential environment. The scheme is programmed over approximately 70 weeks and will be delivered in phased sections across multiple elevations.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in the safe and successful delivery of the scheme from site setup through to completion and handover.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day site operations and subcontractors
- Coordinating façade remediation and external wall replacement works
- Overseeing scaffold and access systems throughout the programme
- Managing health, safety, quality, and environmental standards on site
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme and budget requirements
- Liaising with residents, consultants, clients, and subcontractors
- Coordinating phased works within a live occupied residential environment
- Managing inspections, snagging, and handover processes
- Maintaining accurate site records and progress reporting
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Site Manager delivering façade, cladding, remediation, or external envelope projects
- Experience working within occupied residential or live environments
- Strong understanding of health & safety and quality management
- Ability to manage complex sequencing and phased delivery programmes
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications preferred
