A well established and highly successful Mechanical & Electrical Contractor who have been trading for over 30 years are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join the commercial team. With over 30 years of successful trading, this business has built an outstanding reputation for delivering high quality Mechanical and Electrical projects across the Industrial, Retail and Commercial sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming projects, a fresh opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Estimator to become part of this future further success.
As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a variety of mechanical building services projects. Working closely with the pre-construction and commercial team, you will play a key role in securing future business and supporting the continued growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed mechanical estimates and tender submissions
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation
- Producing accurate cost plans and take-offs
- Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal teams
- Supporting negotiations and tender presentations where required
- Maintaining strong relationships with key supply chain partners
Requirements for this role
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the Building Services or M&E sector.
- Strong understanding of mechanical building services installations.
- Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Knowledge of estimating software would be advantageous
