Currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a well established Construction business. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates for Mechanical Building Services projects, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for mechanical works, including HVAC, plumbing, and pipework systems. Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to assess project scope and requirements. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain quotations and technical information. Produce cost breakdowns and value engineering proposals to ensure cost efficiency. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to support tender submissions and negotiations. Maintain knowledge of industry costs, market trends, and supplier pricing. The successful individual will ideally possess the following ; Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the construction/building services industry. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, public health, etc.). Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts. Excellent numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail. Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
