Earthworks General Foreman / Site Manager – Contract – North Warwickshire Start: Within the next few weeks Duration: Approx. 16 weeks Location: North Warwickshire Rate: Competitive, DOE We are currently working with a reputable, medium-sized main contractor with a strong track record in both construction and civil engineering works. They are about to commence a new scheme in North Warwickshire and are looking to appoint an experienced Earthworks General Foreman / Site Manager to support the successful delivery of the project. Role Overview: As the Earthworks Foreman / Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the technical oversight and coordination of earthworks operations, specifically focusing on: * Material management and control – ensuring correct handling, placement, and movement of materials on site * Placement and testing – overseeing compaction, testing regimes, and liaising with engineers and testing companies * Leading site teams and subcontractors to deliver to programme and specification * Monitoring safety, quality, and productivity on site * Reporting progress to the Project Manager and client representatives * Maintaining records and ensuring compliance with QA procedures Requirements: * Proven experience in earthworks or groundworks as a Foreman or Site Manager * Strong understanding of technical aspects of material placement and testing * Experience working for main contractors or subcontractors on infrastructure or civils projects * Valid CSCS, SSSTS or SMSTS, and First Aid * Excellent communication and team leadership skills * Local to or able to travel to the North Warwickshire area daily What’s on Offer: * Opportunity to work with a respected, stable main contractor * A technically engaging role with autonomy and responsibility * Competitive day rate and supportive team culture If you’re available in the coming weeks and meet the above criteria, we’d love to hear from you.
