We are recruiting for an experienced and hands-on Senior CNC Setter to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with experience setting Doosan single spindle and Citizen twin spindle/twin turret CNC machines, who is looking to play an important role within a busy and growing production environment. The successful candidate will support production efficiency, quality, tooling improvements, and workforce development, while also assisting with programming when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and optimise Doosan single spindle and Citizen twin spindle/twin turret CNC machines
  • Support production to ensure optimum efficiency, quality, and output levels are consistently achieved
  • Carry out programming adjustments and support programming requirements when needed
  • Assist with setting and operating other CNC machinery as production demands require
  • Drive continuous improvement across tooling, cycle times, and machining processes
  • Support improvements in machining stainless steel components
  • Inspect finished components to ensure they meet engineering drawings and customer specifications
  • Read and interpret technical engineering drawings
  • Resolve machine, tooling, or process issues and escalate where necessary
  • Use a range of measuring equipment to verify tolerances and component accuracy
