We are working with a leading principal contractor delivering a diverse range of rail infrastructure projects for key clients including Network Rail and Transport for Wales. Their work spans across bridge reconstruction, station upgrades, tunnels, embankments, and footbridge schemes. Due to securing several new frameworks and additional work streams, they are growing their team and require a Senior Site Agent with a proven track record in station refurbishments, access for all (AFA) schemes, drainage, earthworks, and enabling infrastructure schemes. The initial scheme is in the Cardiff area, where you will work closely with the Project Manager to deliver a major station upgrade and associated civil infrastructure works. You’ll lead site teams to ensure works are delivered safely on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of station refurbishments, AFAs, and EIS packages
- Manage drainage and earthworks scopes with precision and compliance
- Produce and manage site documentation including CPPs, CQPs, ITPs, WPPs, and TBS
- Ensure site activities meet safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Coordinate resources, materials, and subcontractors
- Monitor progress against programme and budget
- Liaise with stakeholders, surveyors, and project teams
- Provide accurate reporting and updates to senior management
Required Criteria:
- Demonstrable experience in station works, AFAs, drainage, earthworks, and EIS
- Strong competency in producing site paperwork (CPPs, CQPs, ITPs, WPPs, TBS)
- SMSTS, PTS, and CSCS certifications
- HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering
