Join a growing international marine engineering company delivering mechanical and electrical upgrades to cruise and commercial vessels across Europe and North America. We’re looking for a talented CAD Designer to turn engineering concepts, client requirements, and site survey information into accurate, practical and installation-ready technical drawings. Working alongside experienced Mechanical Engineers, Project Managers and designers, you’ll support projects from initial concept and tender design through to detailed engineering, installation and as-built documentation. You don’t need previous mechanical or piping experience — what matters is your ability to produce high-quality CAD drawings, understand technical information and develop your skills within a specialist engineering environment. Key Responsibilities * Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical and piping installations * Develop layouts, general arrangements, fabrication and installation drawings * Create equipment, skid and support details * Translate sketches, surveys and engineering information into clear CAD designs * Amend and update drawings in line with project and client requirements * Prepare drawings to support manufacture and installation * Assist with site surveys and updating existing drawings * Produce accurate as-built drawings following installation * Work closely with engineers and project teams to deliver designs on time * Contribute to CAD libraries and standardised design solutions About You: You’ll be a technically minded CAD designer with excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret information and turn it into accurate drawings. Essential: * Proven experience using CAD software * Strong 2D and/or 3D drawing skills * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to interpret sketches, drawings and technical information * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines * Good communication and teamwork skills * A willingness to learn and develop within a specialist engineering environment Desirable: * Experience with AutoCAD 3D, Navisworks, As-Built Suites or Scene * Experience with other 3D design and modelling software * Engineering, manufacturing or technical design experience * Experience carrying out site surveys No marine, mechanical or piping experience?
