Involve Recruitment (Midlands) Ltd is working with a leading global manufacturer to recruit for a Nationwide Specification Business Development Manager for with the NHS (healthcare)Sector of the business

Salary - £55,000 to £61,000 with car allowance, attractive bonus and excellent company benefits

Role Overview

This is a high-impact, sales-focused role responsible for driving specification growth and revenue across the UK healthcare sector.

You will lead the promotion and specification of door hardware, access control including electronic locking systems, and complete door systems.

You will operate at the front end of the sales cycle—influencing design, securing specifications, and converting projects into profitable business.

Success in this role comes from your ability to seek out and maximise new opportunities in the Healthcare Sector, influence key stakeholders, and protect specifications through to order.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, target, and win specification projects
  • Build and convert a strong pipeline of healthcare projects across NHS Trusts and private healthcare providers.
  • Take ownership of project opportunities from early design stage through to order and delivery.
  • Maximise specification value by promoting integrated solutions as well as the full portfolio of products related to healthcare.
  • Develop and maintain strong, commercially focused relationships with: Architects and healthcare design consultants NHS Estates and Facilities teams, Timber & Steel OEM Partners
  • Position yourself as a trusted advisor for compliant, high-performance access solutions.
  • Proven track record in specification sales within doors, ironmongery, or access control.
  • Strong commercial drive with evidence of delivering against revenue targets.
  • Experience influencing architects, end user clients, estates teams and NHS Trusts.
  • Knowledge of electronic locking and access control systems in commercial or healthcare environments.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience working with NHS Trusts or healthcare frameworks
