We are currently recruiting for a skilled Panel Wirer on behalf of a well-established manufacturer serving the Defence, Industrial, Aviation, Rail, Medical, Scientific, and Oil & Gas sectors. Based at their Birmingham production facility, you will be responsible for the assembly and wiring of a range of electrical products, from lighting systems through to complex control and distribution panels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wiring and assembly of electrical control panels and cabinets
- Point-to-point wiring and cable routing
- Crimping, terminating, and soldering cables and components
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and GA drawings
- Mechanical and electrical assembly work
- Working to high quality and safety standards
- Supporting testing and fault-finding activities where required
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience in panel wiring or control panel assembly
- Experience with cable termination, crimping, and soldering
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Experience with point-to-point wiring and cable routing
- Ability to work independently and deliver work to specification
Desirable:
- IPC Class 3 / IPC 620 experience
- Prototype or development wiring experience
- Basic electrical testing experience
Working Hours:
- Monday β Thursday: 07:30 β 16:00
- Friday: 07:30 β 12:30
