The Role
Working closely with the design, estimating and project delivery teams, you will be responsible for producing accurate, high-quality drawings and coordinated models to support projects from initial concept through to installation.
The successful candidate will ideally come from an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) or Building Services background, with particular experience of ductwork considered highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed 2D CAD drawings and 3D Revit models.
- Develop coordinated construction drawings suitable for manufacture and installation.
- Interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with internal design teams, project managers and site personnel.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors to resolve technical queries.
- Assist in clash detection and coordination of services.
- Update and revise drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all drawings comply with current industry standards and project specifications.
- Support continuous improvements within the design process.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys producing accurate technical drawings and has a collaborative approach to project delivery.
Ideally you will have
- Previous experience as a CAD Technician, Revit Technician or CAD Designer.
- Good working knowledge of Autodesk Revit.
- Experience using Auto CAD.
- A background within MEP, Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience producing drawings for ductwork or HVAC installations would be highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills with a proactive attitude.
Candidates with strong Auto CAD experience who have some previous exposure to Revit and are looking to further develop their BIM skills are also encouraged to apply.
