Role Overview: As the Head of Supply Chain Operations - UK, you will play a critical role in driving the Invivo/Microba Groups operational success by leading and optimising the end-to-end supply chains for our physical product portfolio in the United Kingdom spanning both supplements and testing kits. With an ‘On time in Full’ mantra, your leadership will ensure seamless procurement, logistics, storage, inventory management and distribution processes, which are cost-efficient, high-quality, regulatory compliant, and deliver a world-class customer experience across the region – at speed and at scale.
In this dynamic role, you will work with global Operations, Quality and Regulatory leadership to define and implement strategic principles, operational playbooks, and roadmaps that align with our growth objectives and regional regulatory standards. You will balance daily operational needs whilst building scalable and durable systems, ensuring that infrastructure and operational frameworks support the company’s regional growth and delivers an exceptional customer experience.
You will be a key player in shaping and upholding Invivo operational excellence, collaborating globally and locally across teams and squads, and fostering a culture of rapid continuous improvement cycles to cement Microba as a leader in delivering microbiome health solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regional Operational Leadership: Lead and optimise supply chain operations from procurement to final delivery, ensuring efficiency and compliance with UK regulations, and OTIF delivery.
- Supply Chain Planning & Strategy: Develop and execute strategic plans to scale production and distribution while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Procurement & Supplier Management: Identify, onboard, and manage key suppliers and manufacturers, negotiating contracts to achieve the best value.
- Logistics, Distribution & Inventory: Oversee warehousing and transportation to ensure optimal stock levels, timely dispatch, and streamlined operations.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements within the health supplements industry, mitigating risks and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Risk Management: Develop contingency plans to address supply chain disruptions and maintain business continuity.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and operational excellence through data-driven decision-making, process optimisation, and industry best practices.
About you:
You are a results-driven professional with a deep understanding of supply chain processes and a passion for operational excellence. You thrive in fast-paced environments and excel at problem-solving, negotiation, and strategic planning.
Essential skills & experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in supply chain or operations management within the supplements, food, or pharmaceutical industries, including 2+ years in leadership.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills to manage suppliers and drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems, with strong analytical abilities to support data-driven decision-making.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance within the health supplements industry.
Desirable:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in demand forecasting and implementing inventory control systems.
