CLINICAL GROWTH SPECIALIST IN MICROBIOME SCIENCE – London and the South East

THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly motivated and commercially driven Clinical Growth Specialist within the Microbiome Science area with a proven track record of selling to IFM (Institute for Functional Medicine) practitioners, nutritionists, and naturopaths.

This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of a healthcare revolution, empowering practitioners with world-leading microbiome testing and functional health solutions.

This individual must have an established network of clients and live in London and the South East area. They should be ready to hit the ground running, leveraging existing relationships to drive revenue growth and market expansion.

This role reports directly to the Commercial Director, who leads the overall commercial strategy at Invivo Healthcare. The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering first-class service to existing customers while identifying new market opportunities and ensuring Invivo’s microbiome and functional health solutions remain at the forefront of practitioner engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales and Business Development

  • Develop and execute a high impact sales strategy to drive revenue growth across the functional medicine, nutrition, and naturopathy sectors.
  • Leverage an existing network of practitioners to generate immediate business and onboard new customers.
  • Proactively identify, engage, and build strong relationships with IFM practitioners, nutritional therapists, and naturopaths.
  • Provide compelling presentations and product training to practitioners to demonstrate the value of Microba’s microbiome and functional testing solutions.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Director to align sales efforts with broader commercial strategies and market objectives.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, ensuring consistent revenue growth and expansion.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings.

Market and Industry Expertise

  • Stay at the cutting edge of microbiome science, functional medicine and nutritional health trends.
  • Understand competitor activity and react swiftly.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing and clinical teams to create and deliver sales materials, campaigns, and educational initiatives.
  • Gather practitioner feedback and market insights to help shape product development and business strategies.

Collaboration and Customer Engagement

  • Support cross-functional collaboration with customer service, marketing, and commercial strategy and clinical education teams.
  • Help translate emerging microbiome science into compelling value propositions for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Champion a first-class customer experience, ensuring long-term practitioner engagement and retention.

ABOUT YOU

Essential

  • Familiarity with microbiome science, biotechnology, or functional health testing.
  • Proven sales experience in the functional medicine, nutrition, or naturopathy sectors.
  • Contacts with IFM practitioners, nutritionists, and naturopaths in London and the South East.
  • Demonstrated track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate scientific insights into compelling sales propositions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging and educating practitioners.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently while collaborating with the wider team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and account management for new customers.
  • Candidates must live in London or the South East and be willing to travel around these areas.
  • Self motivation to work remotely and as part of a much wider team when necessary.
  • Flexibility for ad-hoc evening/weekend work to support meetings/events is also needed.

Desirable

  • Experience working in an SME or high-growth healthcare/nutrition company.
  • A background in clinical practice, nutritional science, or microbiome research.

PACKAGE BREAKDOWN

Base Salary

  • £50,000 – £65,000 p. a. negotiable and dependent on experience, network strength, and ability to deliver quick sales impact.

Commission Structure (Uncapped)

  • OTE: + 20% of basic salary, paid quarterly.

  • 25 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays (+ 1 extra day on your birthday after a year’s employment + 2 Wellbeing days)
  • Microbiome Testing and Supplements Allowance
  • Monthly health and wellbeing allowance
  • Home working with regular client site visits and travel to Stroud HQ for training and meetings.
