We are seeking an IT Procurement Manager for our central government client, based in London, Croydon, Manchester, Durham or the North East on an initial 12-month hybrid contract, paying up to £675 per day Inside IR35. Hybrid working available – 2–3 days per week on-site expected. Our client plays a key role in protecting the public and delivering national priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a vital department at the heart of public service.
As a Lead Commercial Manager, you will lead complex procurement activity across a range of critical programmes, with a particular focus on IT procurement and off-framework supplier engagement.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead or support all activities within the full procurement lifecycle
- Develop procurement strategies and documentation
- Conduct market analysis and engage with suppliers
- Draft and negotiate contracts, ensuring legal and commercial best practice
- Lead governance and assurance processes
- Manage key internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver value and compliance in a complex procurement landscape
- Strong experience in end-to-end public sector procurement
- Familiarity with OJEU processes such as Competitive Dialogue
- Legal understanding and contract drafting skills
- Proven ability to lead negotiations and manage stakeholders
- IT procurement experience
- Active SC Clearance / minimum eligibility to undergo SC checks is required
- Experience with the Jaggaer e-procurement platform, or ability to upskill quickly
