We're looking for a Frontend Developer for a central government department based in Exeter (hybrid) on an initial 6-month contract, paying up to 600 per day (Inside IR35, Umbrella).
This is a hybrid role with some attendance expected (1-2 days per week) at the office in Exeter.
The successful Frontend Developer will build responsive, accessible user interfaces backed by internally developed APIs and search indexes in a mixed Azure and AWS environment.
You'll work across the full development lifecycle alongside design and product teams, and take part in code reviews, testing and debugging to keep quality high.
You'll also maintain existing applications, troubleshoot issues and help streamline deployment through CI/CD and automated testing.
You will need proven experience working with the following
- React, Next. js and Type Script
- HTML, CSS and Java Script
- Consuming internal or RESTful APIs
- Elasticsearch and SQL-style databases
- Git and cloud deployment (Azure and/or AWS)
- Experience with Py Geo API would be beneficial, as would familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
You'll need to hold or be eligible to obtain SC clearance.
