We are looking for an AI Engineer for a public sector organisation to be based remotely on an initial 3-month contract, paying up to £530 per day (Inside IR35). There is an expectation to attend the office in London or Swindon 1 day per month.

The successful AI Engineer will join a growing data team supporting the development of a modern AWS-based data platform while contributing to emerging AI initiatives. This is a hands-on role combining data engineering, business intelligence and analytics, working across both BAU support and new capability development.

You will help build and optimise data pipelines, improve reporting capabilities and support the delivery of innovative data and AI solutions.

You will need proven experience working with the following:

  • AWS data engineering technologies including Glue, S3, Lambda, Redshift and Athena
  • Advanced SQL and strong Python development skills
  • Building and maintaining data pipelines and data platform solutions
  • Business Intelligence, analytics and reporting environments
  • Data warehousing, data lakes and modern data architectures
  • Data quality, governance and performance optimisation
  • Working within complex or regulated environments
