We're looking for a Senior Planner for a public sector organisation based in Berkshire on an initial 18-month contract, paying up to £59.94 per hour (Inside IR35, Umbrella). This role is fully on-site with no hybrid or remote working available.
The successful Senior Planner will own and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), delivering the full planning capability across the programmes they support. They'll provide Earned Value Management analysis, drive schedule integrity, and work closely with project managers, engineers and scientists to support informed business decision-making. They'll also play an active role in championing planning best practice, running meetings and building awareness of scheduling benefits across project teams.
You will need proven experience working with the following:
- Primavera P6
- Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development and maintenance
- Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule performance analysis (SPI)
- Critical path analysis and planning fundamentals
- Implementing planning processes, policies and procedures
- Stakeholder engagement and communication with senior project teams
- Leading planning-focused meetings and promoting scheduling discipline
You'll also need practical exposure to supporting programme delivery, including areas such as:
- EVMS tools, templates and training delivery
- Long-range operational integrated programme planning
- Supporting emergent and evolving project workstreams
- Continuous improvement of end-to-end planning processes
You'll need to hold or be eligible to obtain Developed Vetting (DV) clearance for this role. Security Clearance (SC) is ok to start with - with a willingness to go through DV.
