We're looking for a Procurement Consultant for a public sector organisation based in London (hybrid) on an initial 6-month contract, paying up to £550 per day (Inside IR35, Umbrella). This is a predominantly remote role, though there is an expectation to attend the office in London for in-person team meetings.
The successful Procurement Consultant will lead and manage procurement activity on behalf of a central government department, developing compliant procurement strategies and routes to market. They will run end-to-end procurements, including further competitions from framework agreements and Dynamic Purchasing Systems, and will work closely with multi-disciplined project teams to influence stakeholders and produce high-quality tender documentation.
You will need proven experience working with the following:
- At least 2 years' procurement experience in a public sector environment
- Developing procurement strategies to identify compliant routes to market
- Leading procurements via Government Commercial Agency (formerly CCS) frameworks and Dynamic Purchasing Systems
- Conducting market engagement activities, including events, question design and analysis to inform procurement strategies
- Collaborating within multi-disciplined teams and communicating persuasively with stakeholders on compliance and tender matters
- Drafting invitation to tender documentation and contracts for award
- Managing procurement activity through e-sourcing platforms such as Jaggaer or equivalent
