We're looking for a Cyber Security Lead for our public sector client on a 12-month contract paying £85 per hour (Outside IR35) based in Warrington. The role allows hybrid working with a requirement to go on-site 2 days per week.

The successful Cyber Security Lead will be comfortable operating at a senior advisory level within a complex, highly regulated environment. You will work closely with the Deputy CISO to accelerate strategic cyber transformation, drive policy uplift, strengthen security culture and provide leadership-level insight across a broad and high-profile portfolio.

You will need proven experience working with the following:

  • Developing, refreshing and embedding cyber security policies, standards and procedures, including tracking adoption and compliance
  • Portfolio oversight and RAG reporting, with the ability to escalate and drive remediation of misalignments
  • Horizon scanning and translating emerging threats into clear leadership briefings and recommendations
  • Stakeholder engagement at senior level, including coordinating the resolution of complex and high-profile cyber issues
  • Supporting cyber profession standards in collaboration with HR and L&D functions
  • Working within statutory and regulatory frameworks including GDPR

Candidates should hold or be working towards SC clearance. A minimum of Grade C or above in both English and Maths GCSE is required for this role.
