We're looking for a Commercial Officer for a central government department, based remotely, on an initial 6-month contract, paying up to £550 per day (Inside IR35, Umbrella).
This is a remote role with occasional travel for ad-hoc meetings to offices in Liverpool, Birmingham, Newport or Norwich.
The successful Commercial Officer will support the lead on a fast-paced, complex procurement of a large-scale contingent labour programme run on behalf of the public sector. You'll work independently to support strategic business cases, drive market engagement and turn customer requirements into viable commercial options. Expect to produce compliant market collateral, monitor buying behaviours through management information, and keep a firm focus on savings, spend under management and supplier relationships.
You will need proven experience working with the following:
Public sector procurement
PCR 2015
Contract management
Stakeholder engagement across a broad portfolio
Supplier management
Handling complex agreements
A background in professional services procurement and knowledge of PA 2023 would be beneficial.
CIPS qualification is highly desirable.
